The signing, held on 20 January 2025, marks the beginning of a collaboration aimed at strengthening KIJ’s logistics ecosystem through the development of a modern and efficient port facility. The port and jetty infrastructure will play a vital role in supporting the overall operations and supply chain activities of KIJ, enabling smoother movement of goods and materials to and from the industrial area.

PT Pelindo Multi Terminal, a subsidiary of Indonesia’s state-owned port operator Pelindo, specializes in managing multipurpose terminals across the country. With its expertise in port infrastructure development and integrated logistics, Pelindo Multi Terminal is seen as a strategic partner that can help accelerate the realization of a seamless logistics network for KIJ.

The proposed port development is expected to serve a wide range of industrial needs, from bulk materials and raw goods to finished products, providing KIJ’s future tenants with reliable, cost-effective, and timely access to domestic and international markets.

In addition to infrastructure development, the partnership may also include joint studies, feasibility assessments, and regulatory coordination with relevant authorities to ensure that the port development aligns with national and regional logistics strategies.

The MoU reflects PT KIJ’s ongoing commitment to establishing world-class industrial infrastructure and services while fostering collaborations that benefit both the local economy and Indonesia’s national industrial roadmap.
