Strengthening Industrial Collaboration Between South Kalimantan and South Sulawesi
Jakarta, 21 March 2025 – PT Kawasan Industri Jorong (KIJ) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Kawasan Industri Makassar (KIMA) to initiate strategic collaboration in the development and management of industrial zones in Indonesia.
The MoU was signed on 21 March 2025 as a concrete step toward building synergies between the two industrial estate developers. PT KIMA, a member of the Danareksa Holding, is a prominent state-owned enterprise engaged in managing the industrial area of South Sulawesi, with a strong focus on facilitating industrial growth, logistics support, and investor services.
This collaboration aims to create added value for both parties by enhancing service offerings, expanding investor networks, and jointly developing innovative solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of industrial players. Through this partnership, KIJ and KIMA will explore opportunities to integrate resources, knowledge, and best practices to support national industrialization goals.
Mr. Wishnu Soehardjo, Chairman of PT KIJ, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating:
“This MoU reflects our shared commitment to building a more integrated and investor-friendly industrial landscape. By learning from each other and working together, we can accelerate the development of Jorong Borneo Integrated City into a world-class industrial hub.”
The collaboration also opens doors for future joint initiatives such as workforce training, environmental sustainability programs, supply chain integration, and digital transformation in industrial estate management.
Both PT KIJ and PT KIMA see this partnership not only as a business agreement but as a long-term strategic alliance that aligns with Indonesia’s broader vision of equitable economic development across regions.
With the signing of this MoU, PT KIJ reinforces its role in bringing in high-impact investments and promoting industrial synergy across regions, while PT KIMA expands its strategic reach and influence beyond South Sulawesi.
